The Innovative Center for IT Solutions is an educational and research subdivision of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University (LTSNU) aimed at studying, developing, implementing and disseminating new, innovative engineering and technical solutions in the field of IT among students, teachers, civil servants, schoolchildren and the population of the region based on the use of modern computing and engineering equipment.
The CIT of LTSNU was established under the agreement ENI/2018/398-605 - EU Support for Eastern Ukraine - Recovery, Peacebuilding and Governance with the financial support of the European Union to promote the implementation of state policy in the field of digitalization in the territory of Myrhorod community and Poltava region, to strengthen the capacity of local governments, to develop technical specifications for the implementation of new software in communities, to assist in maintaining information systems at the community level, to provide virtual distance learning services, and to provide information on the implementation of digital tools in socio-economic systems. The center is fully equipped with hardware and software to serve as a consulting platform for the implementation of digital tools in socio-economic systems.
In its activities, Myrhorod CIT is guided by the legislation of Ukraine, the Statute of LNU, the Regulations in the Center for IT Solutions of LNU and other regulatory documents. Taking into account the overall structure of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, the CIT creates the basis for information support of the educational process, and contributes to the professional development of specialists of state and other institutions.
The Myrhorod CIT of the Institute of LTSNU has a policy of open communication and offers:
- assisting in the implementation, configuration and maintenance of information systems at various levels;
- implementation of modern virtual computing systems based on VMware vSphere and VMware Horizon solutions and deployment of various software on the Internet;
- creation of training virtual computer operating systems Windows and Linux;
- assistance in deploying, implementing, customizing various software tools and creating Web systems;
- advanced training for teachers of secondary schools and lyceums, teachers of educational institutions of I-IV accreditation levels;
- conducting digital learning activities for the population, civil servants, and students;
- creation of places for students of educational institutions (including vocational colleges) to undergo training and other types of practice;
- cooperation with state authorities and local self-government bodies, other institutions and organizations in order to increase the level of computer skills;
- development of technical specifications for the implementation of new software in the communities of the regions in order to move to exclusively digital interaction between the structural units of the respective council and districts, authorities, the state, as well as with community residents;
- creation of a platform for the transfer of IoT technologies between different sectors of the economy in the region.
When organizing courses, the CIT of LNU uses modern Microsoft and VMware software and advanced educational technologies. It provides a flexible work schedule (24/7), adapts various software and the amount of virtual resources that best meets the real needs of students. A combination of full-time and distance learning is possible.
