The IT Solutions Center of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University was created thanks to the EU support for the East of Ukraine - restoration, strengthening of peace and governance with the financial support of the European Union. Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University contributed to the establishment and allocated funds for repairs and additional equipment

Between May and October 2003, the Myrhorod CIT received various equipment and furniture from the EU worth over UAH 1 million 700 thousand. Students of the Educational and Research Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies (ERIMIT) started training in the laboratories of the CIT and ERIMIT, helped to set up and tested the equipment. Currently, the equipment has been installed in the premises of the Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies of Luhansk Taras Shevchenko National University, and work is underway to set up and create a specialized integrated intranet that will allow all equipment to be used in the educational process on the basis of virtualized intranets. All laboratories have started their activities and have been preliminarily set up and tested.

Thanks to the support of the EU CIT, the Institute of Science and Technology of LNU has created in 2024 a specialized server room, a minicomputer and Internet of Things laboratory, classrooms for digital learning, and plans to develop its activities in the areas of engineering design, 3D modeling and robotics, virtual reality, artificial intelligence and Big Data, and a complex in natural sciences.

Currently, Myrhorod CIT is equipped with modern technical equipment.
