At present, the Myrhorod CIT of LTSNU is used by students and teachers of various specialties of LTSNU, students of Rubizhne Vocational College, Brianka College, and other educational institutions.
However, one of the main tasks of the CIT is to create conditions for cooperation and use of available information resources between all educational institutions, government agencies, entrepreneurs, as well as other residents of the Myrhorod community and other regions of Ukraine in order to promote the implementation of state policy in the field of digitalization, to strengthen the capacity of local governments, to develop and implement new software in communities, and to provide assistance in maintaining information systems.

An essential feature of the CIT of the NIMIT of LNU is the consolidation of the available specialized equipment, which allows for comprehensive innovative solutions in various areas of virtual, information and digital technologies. The CIT is planned to include:
- Software and hardware complex of virtual systems and cloud computing.
- Software and hardware complex of minicomputers and Internet of things.
- Software and hardware complex of digital learning.
- Software and hardware complex of engineering design, 3D modeling and robotics.
- Software and hardware complex of virtual reality, artificial intelligence and Big Data.
- Software and hardware complex for natural sciences
